The Brave Art of Motherhood, Am I Enough, This is the Day.

As I have gotten older I enjoy reading more, I enjoy reading mostly books that would help me grow my faith. I like to review them so others can enjoy them as well! I don't want my blog to become all about book reviews so each month I am going to do one post and update it frequently about books! that way they are all in one place and easier to look for! The links in the reviews might contain affiliate links, which doesn't change the price of your product but will help me continue my blog! Thank you all!

I think that I am like a lot of women wonder if I am enough? I am a married women reading about a book geared toward single ladies, what did I honestly think that I would get out of it? Is this book for younger women? Is almost 30 still considered younger? If anything I wanted to read this book to help my daughters be able to grow up and feel enough. We live in such a toxic culture that I need to arm myself with every Christian resource to be able to help them know they are enough. I want them to know something that many women don't get taught, there worth isn't dependant on a man. I love how she lays down the lies first thing, that we can't be lead by the lord if we believe these certain things. (read the book to see what they are). This book is so much of what I wish I would have realized when I was younger. I am so glad that someone is speaking up and showing our young girls that its ok to be yourself, believe in god and that you are enough! I loved this book and I will reference it many times, I plan to read through it and journal a lot of my thoughts! Great read! I did receive this from free from the publishers but the thoughts are all my own! NKJV Comfort Print Spirit-Filled Life Bible, Third Edition, Genuine Leather, Black Indexed
I have a lot I can say about the bible but I am going to start with the quality is amazing, its extremely well made and the leather is amazing. I love the extra information packed into the bible including word wealth, prayers, kingdom dynamics and so much more. The word wealth is a yellow box that gives you information on over 600 words that is translated into original Hebrew or Greek, kingdom dynamics are amazing notes by teachers, preachers, and writers. This is a great bible for personal study but it would be a great bible for preachers and writing sermons. With almost 200 guided prayers this bible will help you reword some of your prayers using different scriptures. Its packed with study notes, maps and charts that are all fully colored.  I loved that it had three bookmarks, the way it laid out is wonderful and easy to study, and its a great reference bible. I received this book for free from the publishers for my review.

The Brave Art of Motherhood By Rachel Marie Martin

I have followed the Finding Joy Page for many years, I was extremely excited to find out that Rachel was writing a book. She has been a great source of encouragement during the hardest times of my life. I love her true to life transparency in writing the book. I can completely relate to part of her story because I have walked through something similar in my life. I have put on a different mask trying to hide behind it because I feared what others would think if they knew the truth behind the mess. I have set out on a journey this year to find myself again, this book completely lined up with that and made me felt more normal and less like a failure. I loved the reminders to take things one step at a time, that things don't need to change all at once, I am the type that wants change and wants it right now. I get extremely discouraged when things don't change fast enough and I tend to give up.  This book is full of helpful advice, great, and little bits and pieces of humor in the middle. I would encourage any woman to read this book, even if your are not a mom yet. She gives you step by step advice on how to overcome a lot of things and find the courage to take action in your life. I love this book and I will be reading it again! I received this book for free from the publisher but the thoughts are my own!

How to Grow: Applying the Gospel to All of Your Life by Darryl Dash
I liked this book, it is packed full of advice to help you grow closer to Christ. I love the what do I do now sections with the questions that ask you, to get you to think more about serving Jesus better. This is a great book for a new Christian to help dig a little deeper into Gods word. Its a really simple to understand the book, with wonderful advice!  I love that the first chapter starts off with the things that Jesus has done for us and help us to live more like him. I love the scripture quote that is throughout the book, pulling scripture from the Bible makes it easier to reference the points being made. I love the bold letters on some of the headers and quotes throughout the book, I will reference the books often, and it makes it easy to remind myself what I'm looking for. This is a great book for anyone that is wanting to grow in Christ and is a great reminder that God wants us to grow in our relationship with Jesus.  I received this book for free for my review but my thoughts are my own!

Depression, Anxiety, and the Christian Life: Practical Wisdom from Richard Baxter
This book was written to help people who are suffering from depression deal with it in a biblical way. This is a good book for anyone that is struggling with depression to get a more biblical outlook on dealing with it, it's also great for a pastor trying to help people dealing with depression. I was given a copy of this book for free for my review in exchange for my review.

A Christmas To Remember Rebecca Moesta
Jennifer needs a break. The perfectionist TV star heads to a mountain retreat for a restful, relaxing holiday. But when she gets caught in a blizzard and crashes her car, Jennifer is left with more than a wreck; she’s left with amnesia.
John, a small-town veterinarian and single dad, finds the confused Jennifer wandering on the road. He’s used to taking care of others; he’s built for this. When he takes her in, he and his children give her more than shelter…they try to help her figure out who she is.

As Jennifer and John make new memories, their connection to one another grows. But how can they even think about romance when they don’t know her true identity?

I am a sucker for anything Christmas and hallmark related, i love this book so much! it has been amazing to set down in the middle of summer and read Christmas books! Of course you know its going to be the best kind of love story, a Christmas one. I love the wholesome feeling of the book, Jennifer gets in to a wreck and cant remember who John is. Leading them on a perfect holiday romance! Of course he is such a hero to Jennifer! I received this book free from netgalley to review the thoughts are my own!

I love this book! It gives such great tips for how to throw a party! I think that some of the will be very helpful during the holidays to! The pictures are beautiful and rich color, which helps when making these amazing recipes. ThoughtFull: Discovering the Unique Gifts in Each of Us
I love this book! It's the perfect book to teach children that everyone is different but perfect in gods
eyes. I love how colorful and bright the pictures are! They are perfect to keep younger readers attention. The book tells a beautiful story about a group of young friends one who has Down Syndrome. Joshua is a great example of a wonderful friend should be for taking up for Ahanu (the little boy with Down Syndrome) because he won an award and some other children in the class didn't care for it. It also showed a great side of parenting with Joshua and his dad because he goes and talks to his dad about his feelings and what he should do. This book is a great conversation starter, makes children really think about bullying. I love this book! Its well made, with a nice hardcover, the pages are a perfect weight which makes the reading experience more enjoyable. I received this book free from the publisher but I was not expected to leave a positive review.

MIGHTY READER WORKBOOK GRADE 1
This was such a wonderful find for me! My daughter just went into the first grade! I love being able to work with her at home when she doesn't have homework over the weekends! She struggles with reading and this was the perfect workbook! I love that we can work on reading while learning about Jesus. There is one story weekly that you get to focus on, during the week you get to do different things following the story so your child gets to think of the story in seven different ways. It teaches them how to look for different things in the story and fine tune their comprehension skills. I love that it was written by a current teacher that teaches first and second grade because she understands how children's brains work. I love how you can teach your children early about devotional time daily all while learning to read! It's brilliant! I received this book from the publishers but was not require to leave a positive review!

Letters to an American Christian

Our world is surrounded by politics, our social media feeds are cluttered with politics, our news
channels to. Where does that leave you and me? Well, I started reading Letters to an American Christian for just that reason!  It is more of a light-hearted take on a serious topic that truly gets you thinking. Its worth the time to read before the next election. He covers important issues, that need to be addressed whether you want them to or not! I received this book for free from the publisher for exchange for my review.

PLAYING FOR MORE Case Keenum with Andrew Perloff

I love this book, He is a great influence for all young children! I love that in the first chapter he shares about his Sundays after church eating taco bell, with his family. I can relate to that memory so much. I love how he quotes scripture throughout the book along with Bible stories that may relate to his story. I love how he makes sure everyone knows that he is a Christian first! Having faith has gotten him through a lot of difficult experiences on and off the field, which makes him a wonderful person to look up to because he is so relateable! This needs to be a must-read for anyone playing sports! It will help keep them grounded in faith first! I received this book for free from the publisher for exchange for my review!

This is the Day Tim Tebow
I loved this book, I am not a football fan but I do support Tim Tebow because he is a Christian in a role model position. I think that the younger generation can really look up to him and know that its ok
to support  Christ!
This book was a real encouragement to get up and do something with your life. I love how he sets this tone with the book, always praising God. I enjoyed the scriptures throughout the book and the tips on making today the day! I loved the book to see his journey transitioning to football to baseball. I enjoyed this book and think this would be a great gift for any sports fan for the upcoming holidays! I received this book for free from the publishers for exchange for my review.
