August Book Reviews

100 Days of Thanks, The Struggle is Real, Unwrapping the bible, Mere Hope, The daily question for you and your child.

As I have gotten older I enjoy reading more, I enjoy reading mostly books that would help me grow my faith. I like to review them so others can enjoy them as well! I don't want my blog to become all about book reviews so each month I am going to do one post and update it frequently about books! that way they are all in one place and easier to look for! The links in the reviews might contain affiliate links, which doesn't change the price of your product but will help me continue my blog! Thank you all!

100 Days of Thanks By Thomas Nelson
There are 129 days left of 2018, what are you going to do with those days? Fall is upon us and we are entering the time of the year where you may slow down and start being more grateful for everything around us. I am starting a wonderful new book called 100 days of thanks. It's right in time for fall & the Thanksgiving season. This book is the perfect journal to document your journey to thanks! The cover is nice and sturdy, the pages are nice and thick. The illustrations are beautiful and the colors are rich and vibrant. The book is on the smaller side which makes for easy to read and have with you daily. The daily devotionals are so beautiful and so thought-provoking. This year has been a little hard on our family and this is the best devotional to start the season of Thanksgiving with my family. I did receive this book from the publisher from lookbook bloggers, the thoughts expressed are all my own.

The Struggle is Real- Nicole Unice

This is a wonderful book! This is such an amazing book that really makes you think about

things. Reading her book is like getting some amazing advice from your best girlfriends! She truly guides you on how to get "unstuck" in your walk of faith. I think that my favorite chapter of the book is "The listening" because I am not very good at listening per say. I love the use of scripture throughout the book and how she picks one to review at the end of the chapter, sometimes even reminding you to read through them slowly.  This book will get read and reread many times because every time I read it I catch something I missed the first time!
This book was given to me for an honest review, the thoughts are my own.

Unwrapping the Bible- David R Veerman

This book grabbed my attention because I am always wanting to learn more about the bible. This book would make a great one for a study group or small book club. It's a pretty big book and took a while for me to get through. This is a great guide for anyone looking to learn the Bible, it teaches the seven core beliefs. I love all of the questions while reading, you might want to grab a notebook to write down all of your answers! I love how each chapter starts out with an objective. I was given this book by the publishers for a fair and honest review. The thoughts are all my own!

Mere Hope- Jason Duesing

This is a cute little book in a beautiful color! I honestly had a really hard time getting into
reading the book, I know that is horrible to admit. It is a great reminder that our hope is in Jesus. I did like the scriptures throughout the book. I received this book from the publishers for an honest review.

Big and Little Coloring Devotional

I loved this one from the first time I saw it! My daughters and I love to color! I have three young daughters and wanted something we could do while bonding and learning about our faith and Jesus. This coloring book did not disappoint one bit! The pages are thick, I loved that there was a children's side and an adult side! It allowed my children ages 3-10 to do it together along with me! I recommend this book to all parents! It is a great coloring devotional and you are sure to love it! This was sent to me by the publisher for my review, the thoughts are my own!

This book came at just the right time for me, I am starting to want to tell everyone about
Jesus. It is very encouraging and keeps you engaged. Each author wrote a different part of the book. It is beautifully written and will help any women that are trying to fulfill her calling in spreading the joy of Jesus.

God Always keeps his Promises- Unshakeable Hope for Kids by Max Lucado
This book is beautifully written and beautifully illustrated! I love having new books to read to my children, especially when it comes to reading the bible. I think that the book is a great reminder that the promises of God are still as real as ever, that he is so faithful. I am so excited to get to teach my daughters these things through this book! The devotional is beautiful and even as an adult, they are truly opening my eyes. I love seeing a child's faith in God, through their eyes. My favorite part is the prayers at the end of the story, along with some questions. It lets you engaged with your children on a different level, allowing to hem share what they learned in the story. It's not a huge book but its good size, the cover is nice and sturdy so it can be read many times. I was given this book by the publisher but wasn't required to write a good review. The thoughts are my own!
